In order to know the great treasures of this place, an itinerary of between 4 and 5 days is proposed to visit places that are unmatched in their nature, having as a gateway the city of Neuquén, where flights from different destinations in Argentina arrive daily. From there, a 360-km transfer along Route 22 completely asphalted, to start enjoying the adventure.

One of the recommended activities for this treasure to be discovered in the snow of northwest Neuquén, are the snowshoe walks to Cascadas del Agrio, an experience that allows you to travel one of the circuits through the ancient pehuenes and frozen waterfalls of Caviahue. A few kilometers away is the Cerro Caviahue Ski Resort, an ideal snow sports and activities center for family vacations offering different options for skiing, snowboarding, snowmobile excursions to panoramic points, waterfalls, lakes and peaks.

To enjoy the free air during the winter season, it is suggested to take snowmobile rides, which are one of the most used transports in the area since they make it possible to arrive and contemplate places of difficult access such as the snowy pehuenes forests. Another very original way to go for walks is through caterpillar vehicles, which have particular wheels that allow you to circulate without problems on the snow.

A special alternative for relaxation, are the beauty treatments, massages and masks at the Center for High Performance of Height and Thermal Rehabilitation (CEARART) which is located in the center of the town.

Just 17km from Caviahue is the small town of Copahue, characterized by hosting one of the most valuable thermal paradises in the world from the Copahue Volcano, its mineral-rich waters and muds are recognized for their quality and therapeutic properties. It is undoubtedly a treasure to be discovered, with fumaroles and hotspots ideal for taking a break and relaxing.

The Copahue Thermal Complex offers internal and external baths, outdoor lagoons, fumaroles and boils, mud therapy cabins, pools for immersion baths, steam cabins, facial and body aesthetics. Among the main benefits, the waters and muds of Copahue reactivate the metabolism, stimulate the defenses and act as analgesics and natural relaxants. The complex is open to the public in its entirety from December to April. During the winter the place is completely covered by snow, leaving only one area for therapeutic and relaxing baths.

One of the ways to discover a destination is through gastronomy, so it is recommended to taste the local dishes with lamb, goat, trout, chopped with smoked fish; accompanied with the exquisite wines and craft beers of the area. For sweet lovers, the "Dulce Aldea" Chocolate House and Tea House stands out for the quality of its artisan chocolates and cakes.
